Spinal procedures

Some of the spine and neck procedures we perform include:

  • Laminectomy—In a laminectomy, the surgeon removes part of the vertebra (bone). This helps ease pressure on the spinal cord or the nerve roots caused by injury, herniated disk or spinal stenosis.
  • Spinal fusion—Doctors connect two or more vertebrae in your spine, which prevents the vertebrae from moving. This eliminates any pain caused by the small bones moving in the spine.
  • Discectomy—A discectomy is a procedure that removes herniated disc material pressing on a nerve or the spinal cord.
