MountainView Hospital today announced that it is one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care, Critical Care and Stroke Care, according to new research released by Healthgrades, the leading marketplace connecting doctors and patients. This achievement reflects MountainView’s outstanding clinical outcomes and puts MountainView in the top 10 percent and 5 percent, respectively, of hospitals nationwide for these service lines.

Additionally, MountainView also announced today it is five-star rated for numerous procedures and conditions, listed below, according to new research released by Healthgrades, the leading marketplace connecting doctors and patients. These five-star ratings reflect MountainView Hospitals dedication to delivering better-than-expected clinical outcomes for these procedures and conditions and distinguishes MountainView as one of the nation’s leading hospitals for specialty care.

“We are proud that MountainView continues to garner recognitions for its quality care, especially in the complex areas of critical care, cardiac care and stroke” said Hiral Patel, MountainView Hospital Chief Executive Officer. “This is a demonstration of the focus by all colleagues to deliver safe and quality care to our patients.”

Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 of the most common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals across the country to identify the top-performing hospitals for specialty care. This year’s analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care, Critical Care and Stroke Care and hospitals that did not receive this distinction.

In relation to the 5-star awards: Healthgrades evaluated patient mortality and complication rates for 31 common conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide to identify the top-performing hospitals for numerous procedures and conditions (listed below). This year’s analysis revealed significant variation in patient outcomes between five-star hospitals and one-star hospitals. From 2019 through 2021, if all hospitals as a group performed similarly to five-star hospitals, on average, 201,586 lives could potentially have been saved, and 160,498 patients could have avoided potential complications.*

“We commend MountainView Hospital for their ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care to patients,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Data Science at Healthgrades. “Consumers can feel confident that hospitals with five-star ratings by Healthgrades have demonstrated their ability to deliver consistently exceptional outcomes.”
