Norovirus, often called "the stomach flu," spreads through direct contact with contaminated surfaces or infected people.
Whether you have symptons or not
- Wash your hands with soap and water
- Wash fruit and vegetables
- Cook food thoroughly before eating
- Keep surfaces cleaned with disinfectant
If you have symptoms
- Medical treatment is often not needed - the norovirus will go away on its own
- Stay hydrated and rest as much as possible
- If you experience severe dehydration, go to the ER
