Norovirus, often called "the stomach flu," spreads through direct contact with contaminated surfaces or infected people.

Whether you have symptons or not

  • Wash your hands with soap and water
  • Wash fruit and vegetables
  • Cook food thoroughly before eating
  • Keep surfaces cleaned with disinfectant

If you have symptoms

  • Medical treatment is often not needed - the norovirus will go away on its own
  • Stay hydrated and rest as much as possible
  • If you experience severe dehydration, go to the ER
